Modular origami flower and vase~

I used bigger modules to make this, paper is about 3 times bigger than what I normally use.
When I started out, I actually wasn't intending to make a flower at all, instead I was thinking of something completely different (a pirate cat in a striped green and blue singlet to be exact...the reason being is an inside joke...o_o).
Well I fudged that up pretty bad and ended up with a huge piles of large green, white and blue modules, which I played around with and finally put together to form the flower and then made a vase for it to go in (now that's innovation! XD).

I'm pretty happy with the outcome. The total piece stands about 17cm tall and is rather fragile, flower came apart a few times when it tried to fit it on top of the stem. The vase design I could definitely improve on though.

As normal, I put it together without any adhesives or tools in true origami fashion.

And sorry about the bad photo. I made it at work during my breaks and so the backdrop is a bit...officey.

Uwaahh, that's so cool! I never thought about assembling 3D origami that way.

Very beautiful, I'm actually working on a piece like this myself. It's taking forever, but it always worth it.
